- Improving Player Retention and Balancing
As we know, the game has been facing a decline in player numbers, but there’s so much untapped potential here. To incentivize players, I suggest implementing a XP system with a seasonal rewards list. As players level up, they would earn more XP and unlock rewards. There should be both a free and a paid track, with exclusive seasonal items available in the paid track. To balance matches and address issues like having too few survivors and too many clowns, I believe it’s crucial to introduce an XP bonus at random times during the day. One for players playing as Clowns and another for Survivors. This way, we could see more lively matches and a better balance in player numbers.
- Introducing New Mechanics and Resources for Both Clowns and Survivors
Continuing to introduce new mechanics and unique options for both Survivors and Clowns is key. Here's an example of a possible mechanic: Imagine a scenario where the Clowns are losing and need a boost in speed or strength. As a last resort, they could use their powers to energize a "Robot" or something similar that would roam the map, slowing down survivors and temporarily preventing them from fixing things or organizing. Picture alien UFOs flying in, applying a slowing effect on a survivor. Now, imagine that when the Clowns are losing, a message pops up on the screen saying that they have unlocked their final resource: the robot. All Clowns would then need to shoot to power it up, filling a meter that activates the robot. One player could control the robot, which would either move quickly or fly, while the other Clowns would have access to a car to chase survivors, creating a high-stakes moment of the match.
