#popcorn gun balance?

To me the popcorn gun even though it was pulled straight out of the movie which is cool, I considered it the worst secondary weapon. After the nerf a ton of people stopped using it, until recently I’ve seen an increase of it being played? And it’s ridiculous how broken it is right.
The issue is the pop corn gun from a far range doesn’t do a ton of damage, the issue is the fact that close range it could three tap you, this removes any form of counter play. If you go too far they’ll just shoot you until you’re downed. You get too close to fight they’ll three tap you. You want to run in a bush to hide, you can’t because of the aura tracking the gun gives.

#

A way to simply fix this is by decreasing the close up damage the pop corn gun has to allow humans to actually attempt to fight back.

#

I feel they should make it where you have to zoom in to shoot the popcorn gun, during which you’ll be slowed down so human can catch up to prevent back peddling, it’s strange because it seems like they had it like that in this old clip.

Honestly it looks funny but I’m not sure if the devs would be willing to add it back?

WHY DID THEY DO THAT??😭

#

They main issue was the fact the close up damage was broke and prevented humans from coming to close range because klowns could back peddle?

#

SO WHY DID THEY NERF THE FARTHER RANGE DAMAGE AND NOT THE CLOSE UP DAMAGE??

Tbh it should just be reverted to before patch 1.4, @slate plume if the counter play towards getting 3 tapped is the main issue close up, humans have the ability to throw an object or wrench which if it hits gives them more then enough time to kill a klown. The damage done up close actually helped a ton with crowd control when they gather at objectives in numbers. Even with the damage, against humans in numbers, I got killed if i didn't play my cards right 100%

@slate plume but I agree why would they nerf the opposite of the issue rudyface
