Heya! I'm newbie here and to the language, but very excited about it. One question came to my mind tho, why is the vscode extension not open source? There's a thread in the #🛠️-hacktoberfest-help channel that asks exactly that, but there's no answer.

The extension used to be OSS but now it isn't. I feel like having the VSCode extension code open to everyone is beneficial to all the community, specially since the docs recommend using it, also seems pretty...non sense if i'm being honest. Appreciate all the awesome work you guys are doing on the language!

Also, that's pure and simple feedback, but from a newbie perspective and someone that is trying the language for the first time, the extension seems to make a mess in some scenarios, which makes me (and other friends) go kinda crazy when trying to build stuff for the first time. I'm not saying that being OSS fix all these problems, and i know about the issue repository (which I can definitely try to write about the bugs there soon), but being closed source completely blocks me and other people from maybe contributing to the extension. Besides that, it doesn't looks good for a open source language project haha.

Hi @balmy spade
You have valid points and we are happy that you are interested in contributing to the extension as well. I think there was few discussions around this. Let us get back to you on this 🙂
