Currently, the swim speed is generally slow, this makes GOing into Beach's water quite annoying as you can be trapped with no options if a player with fire is above you, and stars spawn in the water forcing you into it.
What this suggestion wants is an increase of speed to swimming so you could at least try to juke the player out and it wouldn't feel so slow. The only way to increase your swimming speed is with a Blue Shell as not even holding onto something like a shell feels like it increases your speed
