Been practicing emotional trap with synths/pads and trap drums. What’s the first thing you’d improve?

Definitely layer the instrumentals more, I also noticed that your 808s don’t cut themselves, so they overlap which results in unwanted frequency clashes, make them cut self 🔥

cool structure but it sounds a bit empty. layering more stuff under the main melody would give it way more body. also for trap the 808s really need to carry the beat, right now they’re overlapping and getting muddy. try to make em cleaner and punchier, maybe add a soft clipper or some saturation

As people said earlier, really good melodies but it feels a bit empty. Try give it more soul with some effects. The base is still good, now you've got to bring a whole ambiance in there, maybe strings could do it for example
