Beginner here, started about 3 weeks ago
I wanted to make drift phonk as it appeared to be relatively easy to make.
Made this, I didn't put there any vocals as I struggled to make it fit, what is your opinion?

for a drift phonk track i feel like it could use a bit more of that “epic” energy to really match the genres usual intensity, maybe layering the melody or adding some atmospheric elements could give it that vibe
in terms of mixing some elements feel a bit unbalanced which might make it hard for certain parts of the track to stand out. adjusting the levels or eq could really help everything shine more clearly
about the melody its just a bit hard for me to connect with it as it stands. maybe exploring a darker or more hypnotic pattern could give it that phonk vibeyyy
in addition the drums feel like they could hit harder to drive the energy, maybe mixing the kick to make it punchier or experimenting with new patterns could make a big difference
