layer the sounds a bit and maybe a counter melody

gilded drift
#

Do you have an example of that?

hmmm

#

so basically like use another vst or instrument in another pattern and put the same chords (sounds) thats layering, and counter melodies are melodies that are the melodies that the viewer of your song will remember

I have been using fl for 1,5-2 months, i have no idea what all that means🥲

It's not that complicated trust, it's like opening your channel rack, adding a new plugin or instrument and copying your main melody to your new patterb

#

ahh but i had that partially

you have some really harsh highs and over the top bass and drums. What's your vision for this track?

I have no idea honestly, either something i learn from or something i can be proud of if i want to release it

#

Tbh the slow buildup into the 200 bpm to me sounds great

#

But might have to add a buildup riser

#

But i have no idea what else to add to this

i think you need to find a direction for this before you start adding things. at least figure out what general genre you are going for.

#

didn't you post this on the subreddit a few weeks ago?

#

and what's with the crazy automations?

gilded drift
#

Its to make the kicks stand out from the other noise

#

I do know i want it to be frenchcore

#

there are way easier ways to do sidechaining

gilded drift
#

I have no idea how

steady flame
#

what edition of fl are you working with?

#

pretty good video showing different methods of sidechaining

#

I use kickstart 2 mostly since you can use audio triggers

#

you can do the same thing with fruity limiter though
