Its aight. however the main problem i can point out is how many instruments are in the same octave. which makes it sounds clumsy /cramped. id reccomend displacing some instruments down or up an octave if they play together.

#

also dont play chords with bassy instruments. it would be very muddy

@clever pasture Thank you very much for the feedback, I'm going to go back and repick some instruments and adjust the octaves accordingly as you suggest.

What are good instruments or sounds for chords then? I tried pianos etc and doesn't seem to fit very well either

i think synthy sounds are your go-to

  • Bass should be darker and an octave down. Otherwise it clashes with the chords. just putting that down would make it alot cleaner.

  • Make the sounds a bit more distinct. the arp and the chords are nice individually but clash together.
I would reccomend making the arp a more plucky sound and putting it an octave up. That would make it sound distinct from the chords, and wont confuse our ears as much.

huge step up !!!
the instruments are a lot more clear.

#

only problem, the drums are bit quiet? maybe you can sidechain the instruments to the drums. (watch a tutorial on it on youtube, because i wouldnt be able to explain very well)

#

and the chords sound is a bit.. eh

#

still way better than before IMO

@clever pasture sidechain is pretty tough, will have to practice the mixing parts later on but meanwhile, i made some changes to the instruments and did this, should suffice for now i suppose
