I keep getting this message whenever I try to change my microphone in ASIO4ALL so I can record. I know its not a problem with the mic because it has worked before without any difficulty.

Is your PC audio set to 48khz instead of 44.1? I don't know if that would cause this issue with a mic vs speaker but it's worth checking

Also have you tried FL Asio, that's what I'd try first, might just work by itself
