#How come every time I load a preset in a plugin, I have to wiggle that plugin for it to respond?

This happens for almost every plugin I use in FL . . . it's like, i'll be able to play melodies with the sounds i have loaded using the keyboard keys, then i'll use the mouse to click on/load a new sound in that same plugin, then using the keyboard keys again to play sound does nothing. so I have to wiggle or move the plugin with the mouse for it to make sound again. Any advice for this issue?

this guy on reddit had the same problem, but no one responded. lol

Typically, this means that the plugin is bridged, and is stealing keyboard focus. Clicking on the wrapper window gives focus back to FL, and allows you to use the keyboard to play midi again.

If the plugin is not bridged, you might have luck with the "allow plugin to handle keystrokes before host" toggle on the top right of the wrapper. (it looks like a calculator or something.)

If that doesn't work, the more extreme "keep focus" can be toggled in the wrapper settings. This will totally break any text entry in your plugin though.

omg the second solution totally fixed it. thank you! i would have went my whole life wiggling the wrappers lol. whats the downside to having that option checked? i dont actually understand what is implied by host in this context
