#Peak controller bounce workaround

Hey guys,

I'm in desperate need of an effective workaround for an overlooked problem with bouncing multitracks and stems (as a 13+ year user of FL I know this has been a hot topic forever 😅).

For many years I was struggling with the issue of not being able to bounce wet MTs with send fx baked in. Fortunately, IL solved this by introducing the bouncing tracks from playlists solution.

However, it doesn't include peak controller and this is a huge problem for me as my production relies on a lot of sidechain - too much to keep independent track of and turn things off and on for each track.

If I bounce with split tracks I believe I can get peak controller activity included. However, I then lose the send fxs from baking into the track.

I need to know if there's a way I can bounce individual tracks with both send fx baked in + peak control activity. Does anybody have a workaround for this?

As is often the case with IL, this should be something that should be able to be done without a workaround as it's an industry standard so I've left a couple of messages on their forum, but I need something more urgently.

What about sidechaining using Fruity Envelope Controller?

Here is the preset.

I don't think that's going to be suitable. I don't only sidechain for pump effects and the like. Sometimes I want to duck an instrument or frequency range with a topline vocal as a trigger for example, so the audio source has to be the trigger.

#

I'm considering using 3rd party plugs with ext sc features. I think this could potentially solve it, but I'm still not sure if the sc will bake into the track because I believe the playlist logic is to solo each channel as it bounces. I'm hoping this might be a workaround though. Going to test shortly and will report back. If it works, I'll be warning people not to use Peak Controller (or env controller) anymore

Also, these workarounds are for the earlier stages of production which is good moving forward. But what I was hoping for was a way to bounce my stems for a lot of projects where I've already used Peak Controller. Maybe I need to do real time renders of each track solo'd with the sc source on but PC muted. That's going to be laborious with songs I have a lot of sc triggers 😢

Update: 3rd party SCs also do not workaround this issue. Turns out this is a fundamental flaw

I don't think i understand what you trying to say.😁 Can you provide some example project file?
