but in terms of production need to be FATT
FULLer
It definetely feels that something is missing,
Add supersaws, every melodic dubstep have some kind of supersaws with automation going on
add some drones, layer your lead with like something more 10 -15 presets, yeah and I'm not joking lol
bass is cool and the widthness is cool too, but I think It also need to be more 'FATTT', layer basses too, (Not talking about SUB)
add some more elements like percussion, lots of percussion, cymbals, countermelodies, ear candeies, background textures, pads, etc., Just make it fuller (but not chaotic, experiment what fit's and what not).
the track is awesome though, nice vibe overall, just need to be improved as I said, and then it will sound way better, trust me!
Here are some of my thoughts:
- Over the course of the intro I'd bring in a couple more instruments/effects to keep the listeners attention
- The buildup feels a bit bare bones and the drop mostly comes as a surprise
- The sub in the drop is playing constantly, and not just with the chord stabs. Constant sub at this volume will lead to listener ear fatigue.
- Personally I'm not a fan of keeping the drop drums going after the drop for the some 16 bars they are. There's not enough elements/energy in that section to warrant them
- Second drop is a copy and paste of the first one. Try spicing it up some by changing the lead sound or flow
- The ending feels a bit too sudden, a longer filter/reverb sweep would help with that
Try layering the lead on the other half of the drop to make the second half hit harder
nice utilization of the counter melody on the initial parts, mixing wise It needs to be more on the background, by that I mean add some more reverb longer the decay time and a delay I guess. And now in the drop part, tbh I prefer the texterure and vibe of the Lead in the old version, the portamento really sounded good, but after layering it lost that vibe, instead of layering melody, You can add a supersaw chords in the background, and layer that infact, revert the melody to the old one, and just add a 1/4 delay to make it more fuller, and yeah that's all I guess, as I said earlier, I really liked the composition of your song, but could be impropved so much in terms of mixing and arrangement fr!
Watch those high frequencies (hit at about 1:27). I'd slap an EQ on it and just ever so slightly lower the highs. The composition on this is way good and on point. I wanna say something about the snare ... but I think its a personal preference thing ... not sure, something is sticking out about it.
i absolutely love it. tbh i would listen to this like every day. but i do agree with the EQ suggestion that NecroTek made.
i need that sample pack so badly. idk what VSTs you're using but it sounds awesome.
Still sounds a little high ...
