Hi guys,

First post on discord, so sorry if I'm not in the correct chat or whatever it's called 😄

With those new Polymaker presets (https://presets.polymaker.com/), how do I get them for :

A P1S and a 0.6 nozzle and more imporantly, how can I have the filament available in the AMS?

I used to modify the bbsflmt file to get it in that AMS section, but there's now too many filament available. Is there a way to get them in or what's your workflow ?

Bambu Studio, P1S, AMS

Un-selecting the baked-in profiles you do not need will reduce these. Then look in the Custom filament list and clear out any you do not want.

#

This deletes them entirely, so you may want a backup just in case you want to restore them later

#

Back up %appdata%/BambuStudio/user/[###]/ somewhere if you want an archival copy

hey, thanks for your support.

Not sure I fully got your point tbh 🙂

I've noticed that your preset DO NOT INCLUDE 0.6 nozzle nor 0.8, hence not available to choose from. Other filaments aren't even listed "compatible" for the P1S, such as the Panchroma PLA "basic".

A side of this, in the device section, when i have to choose the fillament (the one set in the AMS), how do I get for example : Panchroma Metalic, Panchroma Glow, etc....

As mentionned the one you can already see in my screenshot are the "legacy" bbsflmt files. I also created those bbsflmt files manually, but as you now have new profiles (json and or bbsflmt), I would like to have them being compatible with a 0.6 & 0.8 nozzle. And of course having them available in the AMS.

The link I provided does include 0.6mm nozzle for the P1S, but it's specifically for Polymaker PLA Pro.

#

Please understand that it's a different profile for every combination of printer, nozzle diameter, and filament. What I linked is not the entire library of Polymaker filaments.

#

bbsflmt is just a ZIP file with the individual jsons inside it. If it does not contain an appropriately tagged json for your specific combination, it will list under "unsupported" and if the file naming convention is not exactly correct it will not be an option for you to mark in an AMS

#

This is not something Bambu explains - or even documents - and took me a day's worth of trial and error to figure out

#

Generally speaking our lab only does profile development for 0.4mm nozzles. Use of 0.6mm nozzles is probably sub single-digit when it comes to how often they're used - I'd fully expect that it breaks down to like 98% of prints are done with 0.4mm nozzles, 1% with 0.2mm nozzles, and the remainder split up in to other diameters.

While I'd love for us to have a profile for every possible combination, that's... well, Bambu alone sells 11 unique printers each capable of officially supporting 0.2-0.8mm nozzles (some of which have HF or SS variants), multiplied across all of our filaments... well, I'm not going to do that math but I'll task an AI on it.

#

lol, it choked on the request and ended up with Reasonable range depending on rules: roughly 1,450–1,600 profiles

#

We make profiles based on demand. The more common the printer/nozzle combination and the more popular the material, the higher up in our ranking that profile becomes.

Making the profile isn't simply making a default profile show up with our name on it though, each one has several days of real-world printing behind it to tune in specific values.

If you'd like to throw your voice in for one specifically, please let us know.

#

Please indicate the nozzle diameter under question 4 😊

mhhhhhh

Managed to get the filament type available in that AMS section (back to a 0.4)

I'm facing this now,

Yup, that's a part of what I was describing in the link I had shared. When I put together what was necessary to resolve that issue I shared it with the team and they've got a long list of updates to do.

I'm pretty sure I traced it down to an undocumented and unannounced change inside Studio. At least I couldn't find any mention of it anywhere.

The one I provided is not Panchroma Matte. it's only for Polymaker PLA Pro. Nothing else.

#

The newer ones are being corrected.

I'm sorry, but guess there's a misunderstanding,

Thanks for your support, will finish my stock and move back to Bambu spool, no hassle with them. I can't let our users deals with that for the moment.

Cheers
