I'm using PolyMaker PA6-GF and am new to annealing. The site says 80 degrees C for 6 hours, is there any concern with using a standard kitchen oven for this? Any fumes or whatnot that might contaminate the oven?

Also kudos to Polymaker on this filament, perfect prints using the recommended settings on the site!

Oh and <@&1122587817768398938> tagged, as per the pinned post.

As long as you keep it to 60C (140F) there shouldnt be any problems

Not the 80 mentioned on the PolyMaker page?

i personally use another toaster oven specifically for this just for safety but i'm not too sure toherwise

Yeah, my wife does sublimation transfers and has a special oven for it, I'll probably just use it actually if it can get to the right temp.

I agree with @tawdry void

#

I got a seperate toaster oven off craigslist for $10

#

I don’t want nylon or carbon fiber/glass fiber in the same oven I cook out of

#

Also cost

#

If you have a gas oven it would probably cost more than a smaller electric toaster oven

#

Im talking natural gas cost vs electricity cost for the heat

That’s fair.

it works, i anneal all my parts in my kitchen oven at 200F which at least on my oven is about 85C

#

wouldn't cook food in it without a good cleaning after though
