#To Suggestion #2151

Sure it works but the controller support is almost zero so you have to use the touchscreen or the crappy mouse sim. At that point you're better off just playing on your phone. Also it performs terribly, with hard stutters every time you change screens.
That is interesting, as I said, I've playing it on the deck since it launched on steam. Docked to a 1080p monitor at max settings and the only time it stuttered was when Mordred was deployed but even that stopped since a month or 2 ago.
Agreed that the deck touch screen ain't good enough for CS tho but I'm pretty sure you can make a steam input template that's good enough if you actually put the effort in.
maybe I will drop a recording, but simple things like changing menus, like from the lobby to the battle menu, is like a half second deadlock for me every time, and I don’t get this on my tablet or my phone so it is environment specific
the absolute minimum we need before that is a possibility is the ability to navigate menus with a dpad, which is impossible right now because there is not a keyboard equivalent to bind to. no offense but using the deck docked to a monitor is the same thing as using a linux laptop, not really the expected use case for a deck
Well I don't have a PC so 🤷
Also you can literally use a touchpad for menu navigation, literally that's point of it's existence, and battle stuff you can bind
You do understand my point though right? That if the deck had full support, we shouldn't need to use a mouse to do basic stuff like navigate menus?
Like baldurs gate 3 is a PC game but if you play it on the deck you can do everything with the standard handheld controls
That's why one would use the deck over a standard PC or a phone, for the handheld stuff
A phone is already handheld tho. And again, valve literally made steam input and gave the deck touch pads so games with no support can be played still
I do get your point but your suggestion shouldn't be "deck compatibly" because it's already is
It should be "controller support"
...sure
also "a phone is a handheld" is the biggest "erm actually" I have heard all year. You know exactly what I meant
That erm actually right now means nothing to me in this context. You can hold your phone in your hand, you can play on the phone, cs was designed with nothing but a touchscreen in mind which makes easy mouse adaptation. Frankly idk why you'd want to play CS on your deck when you have a phone in your pocket 90% of the time and if you want bigger screen you might already have a tablet for that.
