Addendum.
Rules:
- Screenshots submitted must be of the server for which the event is hosted for.
Additional example:
- Units viewed in profiles from game modes such as Danger Close are also acceptable submissions.
couldnt u just ask magikarp for like 90% of them
No, unless Karp has hundreds of accounts.
Or has already collected screenshots of all those units.
And if that's the case, then why are people downvoting? It'd basically be free 25 Special Fusion Cores for everyone. Oh wait...I see. Less whale power.
actually i thought it was limited to assr, but if ur asking for literally every unit at 120, thats just not gonna be possible cuz theres too many trash units that no one would 120
and was mainly mentioning magikarp for the tu6 assr part
You'd be surprised I think.
It'd basically be free 25 Special Fusion Cores for everyone
It's just asking for free stuff and it has nothing to do with addressing any of the game's issues.
It's the same tired suggestion that gets repeated over and over and over and over.
The point of the channel isn't to ask for free stuff, and events can be organized independent of the rewards received for them.
Well we've tried suggesting that they not raise the level cap. They did it anyway.
We've tried suggesting a reversal. They obviously won't do it.
The only incentive for people to do an event is meaningful rewards.
Sorry if it looked like I was asking for a handout.
If you want to set it up as a community event, you can start a spreadsheet, a planning doc, and a google forms and periodically mention it to drum up awareness.
Then just ask the mods to promote it. It doesn't take much to get a server ping and a pinned message.
A community event doesn't need to be contingent on having rewards lined up for its completion.
Part of the reason I suggested that as a reward is because as rich said, it would require an investment of Special Fusion Cores. While it doesn't do anything but put meta gamers further up the ladder, it's something that the lower end of the playerbase would probably be more appreciative of especially those who like obscure characters.
If we fail the event, it doesn't do anything. But if it doesn't do anything, no one will participate.
Those two groups of people are not even remotely close to interacting with each other.
Whales and low/ non-spenders aren't competing at the same levels and they won't have the same concerns. There is no inequity issue being addressed here.
Regardless how you set the systems up this is a gacha game. Resource inequality literally comes with the territory. 25 sfc isn't a fix because it doesn't address the underlying issue that sfc are expensive. That's fine, because again it's a gacha game and everyone signed up for that when they joined.
If they wanted fairness they wouldn't bother with a ranked gacha game, and if they aren't bothering with the competitive aspects to the game then again this inequity wouldn't matter because they wouldn't be interacting with others anyways.
I didn't say whales in that part. You don't need to be a whale to try and metagame. Many people won't want to invest in "trash" units. If they do nothing, then nothing changes.
Meanwhile the people would be willing to have fewer Fusion Cores.
There is a collection tab. You don't need to interact with other players. Some will just want to do the collection part of the gacha.
And obviously if you compete in content, you get more Fusion Cores.
But if it doesn't do anything, no one will participate.
I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean. Do you want:
- Community engagement activity
- A completed list of 120s
- 25 sfc reward for completion
Because at this point you're making it out to sound like this is less about the community and more about figuring out the logistics of completing some 120 list. These community events are just tools to drive community engagement. They're not really vehicles to use to get rewards, regardless how you rationalize it.
I'm struggling to understand why you think these players care to have their "trash" units at 120, and why that concerns you, and why that would justify making an elaborate event to get 25 sfcs...
You made it about logistics. I was aiming at the first two personally. But without community participation. It's not going to happen.
If the community doesn't participate then clearly it was unwanted to begin with.
This is the issue with planning any community event.
Does it have to be 25 Sepcial Fusion Cores as a reward? No. It was purely a suggestion.
Yes and you're acting as if the event NEEDS some kind of completion award to justify running.
If you actually cared you could just set it up yourself.
It doesn't really need acknowledgement from bside
Again "community event" and "event rewards" are two detached concepts. You don't need one to run the other.
@pale knoll Let's just do that then. Can we get an official channel for this perhaps? No rewards, just something fun to do.
I could do it as a thread under #๐showoff
But I don't think people would actually see it based on how nearly every other thread goes under the radar. ๐

was keeping a reminder on that one to think of a serverwide event ๐
