I don't have a good feeling about this upcoming change, it'll make endgame more grindy as it'll spread out our fusion cores more, honestly imo they should have just made a way to farm rearm data instead of this change

You can basically already farm Rearm data by farming units to sacrifice at Olivie's. The exact problem is that you only need it at the beginning. After you Rearm all the units, it's a dead resource.

Look no further than Skill books, which is easily farmable, but is completely useless after all your units have their skills leveled.

And unlike the number of Rearmed units, they add normal units every single update, which still can't justify farming Skill books.

My impression of it is that it seems fine as long as the prices are fair. Right now when you recruit a SSR you have no use for you can:

  • Sacrifice 4 contracted SSR characters to lab -> You get 80 rearm data
    or
  • Dismiss 4 contracted SSR characters -> You get 8 fusion cores
If the cost of rearming a character with the new system ends up being 8 fusion cores then it'll functionally be the same? 4 dupes = 1 rearm. The only annoying part is that non-contract dupes don't give any cores when dismissed... So we lose the ability to farm rearms over time through substreams.
