Players can dedicate a "Squad" where it can act as support (think: reinforcement) that friends can optionally use.
If there are concerns on new players not being able to fully experience CounterSide, then perhaps there can be some form of penalties on rewards earned.
This can eventually lead to the player progress and able to clear the content themselves.

Maybe not a full squad, but just a unit? Also the penalty for using a partner's unit could be that they can't sweep the stage.

they removed this with origin megapatch i believe? inb4 u can use ur friend's full squad in chess mode, and there goes chess mode.
i m not sure where u want the support goes, since the only way we have support units currently is in dive right?
u want it in story mode and event story mode as well? i assume.

It would definitely keep people from getting stuck on a stage for a month or longer just because they lack a particular unit. And it would promote friend-finding and community interactions. ☕
