As the title says, when using Reimagined + FA with Reimagined's FA patch the skeletons and chickens are usually completely invisible where it looks like either the model parts or textures aren't being applied properly

Anytime you reload ur game with F3 + T it works again.

While it's mostly an inconvenience for those who knows, I've gotten more bug reports than I can count of people thinking Reimagined's FA patch is broken and giving up on using it after first try because of this bug.

It's also a bug only present in EMF/ETF, not in Optifine.

Well it's in all versions as of late at least, I'm not sure for how long these reports date back to but I'd hazard a guess that it's been ongoing for more than a year at least. Actually surprised no one has reported it before.

With which pack versions, it's the latest FA, FA patch and Reimagined on 1.21.4. It uses the pack load order in the description of the addon as well. So Patch on top, middle is FA and Reimagined at the bottom.

I'm not sure about errors, I'm away during the weekend currently so won't be able to check that 'til on Sunday sadly.

I'm actually in the process of trying to update my FA patch actually and, with the new chickens and such.

It's actually hard to get it working without that suggested feature. I'm unable to use custom texture paths which I've done before, since the warm and temperate chicken use the same model.

Which means I need to use the vanilla file path, which also FA's models use. FA's models also use pretty huge parts of the default texture uv which is a bit of a problem.

The FA patch do mostly still work on 1.21.4.

The bees use the vanilla model, chickens are still the pre-1.50 one, bats are a bit borked and mooshrooms have a tiny weird eye bug.

Otherwise it should all still work normally

okay thats good to know.
in my mind, i assumed that since it was most recently based off an outdated version of reimagined, whatever stuff you added in between then and now would be lost, but im glad to be mistaken, and sorry to bother you if it was an issue, i know some people dont like to be pinged (although you had DnD on so probably didnt happen anyway)\

Oh no worries, glad to answer any questions ya got about it haha, it's mostly functional though yuh

But yeah, heads up is just that 1.21.5 is completely borked for the time being though, which is why I wanna look into properly updating it currently.

But without that optifine parity feature that emf has yet to implement, that's gonna be really tricky.

I've tried tried the settings but I could never get the feature work. Thought it may have been the fallback property one but don't seem like that works.

The feature I am looking for is, if a model file that's being called in inside of a property file isn't present, the property file is null

It means if a pack like FA can have unused models like a password, chicken157643, an addon can directly use FA models, but still require FA itself because the unused chicken 157643 is needed to be checked. Even if it won't actually be used.

It's great for so many reasons, besidse making addons easier to manage, it's less buggy, better for optimisation, more freedom to deviate from the animation and with 1.21.5, makes some mob compats much more possible that are kinda hard to pull off now without a lot of shenanigans.

it seems from what i have been looking at in this channel, however, that traben is planning to fix some long standing bugs
this one being one, and some other FA-addon related things as well

Well I am hoping for it, while I reported it over a year ago, Traben did say they wanted to look into it a few months ago.
