#How to assign multiple textures to one custom model?

Hey I'm reworking my resource pack and I've got a custom model, and several textures that align with that one model. Any way I can get this code in the picture to work? Or is this not the right way to approach it?
Thank you :)

you can only set 1 texture but that texture (or even the original vanilla one) can be varied using ETF by following the optifine random texture format

Ah ok thank you. While you're here, if you don't mind me asking, I'm having issues with the warm mob variants sharing the same model space as the temperate ones. Is there a line I can put in the property files like nbt.variant=minecraft:warm that would work?

give the variants their own model
