Hi @tame current, could you elaborate more on the concept: "Roles have the same effects across tenants"

#

Are you referring to another permission level above tenant that could assign users to control the tenant details. Or do you want to express the idea; regardless of the tenant, roles should function consistently. For example, if a user is an admin in one tenant, the permissions and capabilities that come with being an admin (like renaming the tenancy) should be the same if that user is an admin in another tenant ?

#

Besides this, the rest can easily be built using our domain specific language. You can try out our playground for examples: https://play.permify.co/?s=organizations-hierarchies. Alternatively if you could provide me with the subobjects of tenants and the permission structure within them, I could create an example schema for you.

Hi! Apologies for not replying sooner. I have three roles at the moment: admin, manager, and viewer. Admins are tenant-wide, and managers and viewers are assigned to specific objects within the tenant. You said it well, that "regardless of the tenant, roles should function consistently."

I've been messing around a bit with the DSL, still working on wrapping my head around it, though

Looking at the example you linked - it looks like it might be exactly what I'm looking for

Hi @tame current, great

#

Actually we'd love to learn more about your use case and help it out to structure the schema you're working on and also discuss the roles across tenants issue.

#

Would you be open to a quick call at a time that suits you?

Certainly!

#

Would you prefer a weekday? I'm Eastern time, so most mornings I'm fairly free (or, weekends at pretty much any time)
