So I exported a backup of an app to my files then I deleted the app and reinstalled it but there's no option to restore backup from your files is there any way too?

Oh, it might be confusing yes
The external import isn’t there yet i guess
For now, the restore puts back data if it was backed up using backup button which stores data in sidestore cache
So if you had not deleted sidestore or cleared its cache then restore should put back data if you are reinstalling the app

next nightly build should have import backup from files-app/sidestore subdirs if you have exported a backup before this import.
Note: you need to run restore backup after import for restoring the app data
For failsafe measure: i have added “restore previous backup”to the menu, this will restore N-1 (last before) backup if one exists. This will be useful if you had chosen invalid/wrong directory when importing and current backup is now bad. (Useful if you didn’t have the backup anymore on files app, otherwise you could always re import the proper directory again)
Backups can be imported only from any dir under sidestore dir.
I hope this fulfills your need
