Exactly as it sounds like. Upon entering a room inside a POI, the screen flickered black and did not return to visual. Upon trying to exit to main menu via ESC, the PC completely froze and needed to be manually restarted via a power button.
...On the latter part, I am not sure if this is related or is this a hardware issue, but on the Disc housing the Steam Folder and Mod Folder at least 10 GB of free space had suddenly disappeared post-event.

A crash has been intercepted by the crash handler. For call stack and other details, see the latest crash report generated in:

Could you also attach it here, please?
Not sure if I can do anything about it, but it is worth a try.

Btw. Your RAM is quite limited. Make sure to have sufficient virtual memory configured: #❓│ꜰᴀq message

...No, the folder appears to be empty. I... might have cleaned up the discs after the event, you know, in an attempt to understand where the hell 10 GBs went. Not very smart of me, in hindsight.

Also... I'm sorry if this sound strange, but I am not very tech-savvy - how does one 'configure sufficient virtual memory'?

For the last question I posted the link to the FAQ.

#

Without more information regarding the crash I don't think I can provide any help.

A crash is more severe than a normal bug. It indicates that something went terribly wrong. Can even be a hardware (RAM) issue or a driver issue.

Well, I suppose it's alright. The save file seems to be working fine, so... next time I'll just be more careful with file clean-up.
Thank you for your help.

Sorry that I couldn't do more. Did you check the virtual memory settings? There were others in the recent past who also had "just" 16GB RAM and were able to get the game more stable by changing the memory settings.

I have... exactly 16 GB on the computer by default and... if I understood instructions correctly, had just added 16000 via virtual memory.
