I entered credentials for a new user but have not received the validation email. I did check my spam folder. Do I need to do something special for the email to get to gmail?

If you are not receiving the verification code, first ensure you have entered the correct email address and try requesting a new code. Since you have already checked your spam folder, verify that your email provider is not blocking emails from ente.io and consider adding [email protected] to your contacts.

If you are self-hosting Ente and have not configured SMTP, you must retrieve the verification code directly from the server logs. For Docker Compose, use the command sudo docker compose logs. For Kubernetes, use kubectl logs deploy/ente-photos-museum -n ente-photos | grep -i "ott" to find the code.
