I clicked on "reset person" while trying to merge 2 identical people together. However, it straight up removed the detected pictures.
Will those pictures appear under "People" again, or are they permanently excluded from showing up there (I don't want that)?

Reset person removes the name and any suggestions or other data you've added to it. Basically, it resets everything regarding that person to how it was before you named that person. You should be able to find that person's group of photos again under the "People" section and give it a name again to restore things
