First, generally speaking, you should get a mic. I also play on cosnole - PS4, and making callouts is HUGE. Many instances in this video where you could've made callouts for better plays. You can be lacking in mechanical skill and even positioning, but I'd argue clalouts is one of the things that seperates Silver/Gold from Plat, and Plat from Diamond+.

  • 0.49 - Good positioning for the first peak. You should've been a bit more conservative in firing your sonic. Wait until the entire team turns the corner, or at elast you ahve 3+ people corssing. Sonics technically do a bit more damage than normal arrows, so if you can hit a shot with your sonic, great. Otherwise, a wallis fine, as youdid.

  • 0.55 - Nice sonic on the Hog to build somne quick charge. However, your attempted flick on the fast moving target is something I wouldn't recommend attempting at your mechanical skill level. You're better off using that time instead to get bodyshots on larger targets, or targets you can hit for more ult charge.

  • 1.00 - You died because you were trying to have a 1v1with the Hanzo, when you should have been trying to outplay the Hog hook./ I'd recommend moving further back or to the left, out fo Hog's hook range, and trying to bait out his hook. TheHanzo may put rpessure on you, but in a 1v2 as a sniper there's only so much you can do. Again, better to repsoition than to feed.

  • 1.35 - Oof. It happens, but you gotta practice that.

  • 1.46 - You shouldn't ahve attempted to engange that. You justfed moreult charge. The stall isn't worth the ult charge. Stalls are for characters with actual stall potential, not snipers. Youwould have been better off trying to have a distance 1v1 with the Zen on high ground and trying to get that pick, then moving back to your team when they captured the point. Generally, the rule on thumb with team engagements are - if its an even teamfight, or your team is down by 1 and you're close, join in. Otherwise stay out.

  • 2.34 -0why did you jump off high ground? As a sniper, you excel most athgih ground. You would'vebeen better off trying to peak and getting off a shot or two, then retreating. Or, once you realized that Rein has oon the floor level, firing shots at hsi back while your team enganged the other.

  • 2.49 - You were focusing the Nanod Rein, as you should have. I'd say your psoitioning was fairlyon point, and there wasn't much you could've done there. However, it is another reason to stay on high ground..

  • 3.22 - You didn't hear anyone, so why did you corner check with Storm Arrow? You wasted that cooldown. Keep your enrves in check.

  • 3.49 -Always sonic before you ult in a situation like that. Set up your ultimate, and be patient. It's better to get 2 or 3 than 1. Now, the way you ahndled that Hog was good from a positioning standpoint. Your mechanical skill needs a lot fo work. I recommend practing in QPor against bots.

  • 4.05 - again, it comes down to mechanical skill. You missed a lot fo easy shots.

  • 6.39 - you died because you weren't looking at what you sonic'd. Always be aware of your surroundings. You would ahve had time to back off once they rushed you had you been watching their shilouttes

You may geta little ult charge, but that's 1 person on your team gaining a bit of ult charge before feeding potentially 6 other peopleon their team ult charge as well.

  • 7.53 - as soon as you hear that Rein coming at you, it's a time to reposition. I know you were trying to burst down that Zarya, but its better to reposition than to get picked. a 1 for 1 trade off isn't usually worth it in turnng the team fight. Additioanlly, you got herso low that the others probably could have followed up and eliminated her. Although, no offense, at your elo that isn't a guarentee. But had your repositioned, you could have danced around the Rein on the walkway and gotten tons of charge off of him and weakned him, until he was forcedto retreat ontopoint, or diedto you in a 1v1. Depending on how the teamfight would have played out, of course

  • 8.08 - good job on letting your team know your ult is ready. I woulddo so morefoten - once after respawning, once at the start of a teamfight ifyou ahve the time and space, and once at the end.of a succesful teamfight or when you ahve the time after retreating from a fight.

  • 8.50 - you should ahve bursted down the turret, then ulted. That way you could ahve followed up with extra firepwoer behind yourult, since its so slow moving and in this case is at a bad angle. This depends on the teamfight situation, though. AsI keep saying - remember the rule of thumb on numbers. However, when using an offensive ult with pick potential, its acceptible but risky to useult when you're 2 down, but generally not worth it.

  • 9.37 Not much you could ahve done here with lessthan 16secs on the clock, but good job bursting down the Bastion. Moreimportantly, you sonic'd him, which let your team know where the Bastion was in the upcoming teamfight had you died. Alternatively, you could ahve sonic'd the toher team members, but I think you made the right call here.

Concluding thoughts...

  • The biggest thing is mechinical aim. Soy ripped you =pretty ahrd above on it, but to be honest if you'replaying an aim dependent Hero, especiallyone that uses projectiles, you have to have good aim and tracking. You're using Storm Arrow (usually) appropiately to spam targetsat closer range, which is good. However, you must hit those shots or you won't be able to burst them down. I thinkI saw you get maybe 2 picks that entire game. Zarya and Bastion at the end. For all intenses and purpsoes, you were (in good faith!) throwing due to your lackof mechanical skill. I don't mean to rub saltin the wound, but I want to emphasis just hwo reliant Hanzo is on aim and tracking, in addition to psotioning...

  • Your psoitioning was mostly on point. You need to play hgih ground more, hwoever, and be aware of your surroundings -like when an enemy is comingup on you. Hanzo'sleap is really good for dancing around enemies and repositioning himself out of bad situations. Use it more cosnervatively for moments where you're jsut about to get run down,to try to get an early chance at escaping.

  • Learn when to engange, and not engange, in teamfights. Rule of thumb. Ifits even, say 3v3, always enter. As a sniper, try to find high-ground first. Iff the enemy team has 1 up on you, say a 4v3, then enter. If you're down 1, say a 3v2, then enter. If the enemy has 2 more than you, its generally not worth it as a sniper to engange. Youjustdon't haveenough time to position and get the picks within the team fight window. If The enemy has 3 or moreon your team, stay out, and reset. By reset, Imean either stay by spawn and spam "group up" or back out of the team-fight and find a safe place to spam "group up".

  • Your ultimates were mostly mediocore. You only had two ults in the game, again due to not getting picks. However, Hanzo's ultimate is very dependent on positioning. Try to use it at closer ranges - whcih you did! - or to open up a lane for your team to move through. That'smore advanced, though, soI'd relyon the former trick at your skill level. (Even in Plat we struggle with the latter!). Always remember solo ulting is almost enver worth it.. Always try to get 2+ picks. However, 2-3 picks is the sweet spot. Hanzo usually only gets 4/5/6 men if he's combining with grav. For your first ult, you should've waited a few seconds longer. You rpobably could've gotten at least 1 more, if not 2. They had to come around the corner, because that's where the payload was.

And I think that's all I got for you @round sigil Overall, rough game. You guys got rushed hard, and the salty teammate didn't help either. That's hard to deal with, I know. I was stuck in gold for two to threeseasons. Got banned twice for rage-quitting too much. Your biggestissue is your mechanical skills - your aim and tracking. I recomemnd practing against bots, then in QP for a while. Maybe practice with Soldier or McCree for tracking,

I recommend watching A_Seagull's videos on Hanzo. He's really good. Idon't realyl play Hanzo- I'm an off-tank / all-support main - but watching Seagull's videos ahve taught me a lot about Hanzo's playstyle. Justdon't be as aggressive as Seagull because Seagullhas god aim and tracking lul
