THe best ranking systems are the ones that don't re-rank immediately. ie, it's a bulk job once a week that takes in to accounts players who are reported, who leave games and disconnect, who lost 20 games in a row, etc. And that only move people by small amounts rather than swings that can be 20% of the entire playerbase in just a single weekend.
