It's not that Myonbong only got one offer. Well, acutally that's kinda true. The situation is this - Sideshow was going in to great detail talking about it yesterday:

Multiple teams were interested in Myonbong, but were planning to trial him and go through the normal process, and reportedly numbers as high as 150k had been talked about. BUT, Boston management got wind of him being available and they just went directly to him and his management and made an offer that involved none of that long, lengthy questionable process and get him for a dirt cheap price, which none of the other teams management had the forethought to do.

There was a lot of marketing and player manager type propoganda going around in what was said publicly about the whole 'no other offers' crap.

That's pretty much it. The other teams either hadn't even reached out to him offering him a try-out (even though they had the intention to in future) or had only offered the possibility of one, whereas Boston knew this and went "here's an offer, no strings attached" to get in ahead of all that.
