That just means the systems stopped counting, the system then realising oh i need to award this user this thing because hes over the time x and there was upwards of 250k people at one point can take time. Personally Stage 4 and the Playoffs have been bad for that, one weekend it took over 24 hours to get tokens showing @near needle

Rewatches have never given drops.
Drops may take time to come though. They'll work it out. I've never had drops not eventually be awarded.
I don't think I've missed any drops... I maaaayyybe missed one of the DVa drops, I dunno? But yeah, they sometimes come through live, other times come through retrospectively. I've never been robbed of a drop when it didn't come through immediately - they'll have it sorted.

I would hope they learned to keep the game fresh by constantly changing the meta every 2 stages or every 1 stage so that the most adaptable team will be the best team rather than one that mainly does one best and riding that train all the way to the end

Okay, so for one, you're going to have events in up to four venues happening on some weekends. That is going to require an increase in the OWL talent team for them to cast. So at a bare minimum they're going to need to increase their broadcast team size..goodd Hell, some games ters are going to be as good. Hell, some games may not even get cast.
Second, the timeszones are gonna be fuuuucked. A lot of season 2 occurs with games between 1am and 7am for us... it was 9am to 4pm.

3, with games being so spread, you're just not going to watch as many games. Matches will come and go and you'll just hear about the result. You won't watch most of them on catch-up, so you won't see strats etc.... if they're even interesting to watch - we don't even know what the meta is going to be yet.
