but to seriously answer your question, from my personal pov, it's difficult to balance content of both types without any sort of backlash. if we kill the spirit of highlights, we get shit on by the casual folks, if we keep it the way it is, we get shit on by the comp folks, which just really sucks. i think it's harder because you have a game that delivers highlights to you on a silver platter and then the esports scene is still somewhat messy from the OWL preparations or lack of promotion of the events so people can get lost easily. ideally we want there to be a balance but it's hard to find a way to do so that would do good on both sides

@iron cedar Reaper's buff is cute but it doesn't solve his biggest problem, gap closing. teams can just kite you to kingdom come, vampire leech or not. If he gets used, he'll basically need a lucio on a leash with speed aura.
McCree, not enough to bring him back either (at least, according to the pros), but I think there's some potential for Electric Cowboys to blow pharmercys out of the sky because they won't have time to react. The problem with comparing nanoboosting deadeye and nanovisor is that D.Va counters them both, and Soldier gets more done outside of the ultimate war
