Korea has an innate advantage over NA and EU because of their culture, I'd say. KR is so dominating in so many esports because the players dedicate so much more time and effort and take it a lot more seriously. i.e. esports in Korea is fully televised

Basically, back before Tale left and the patch, Rogue were the best in the world. After going through the first phase of Apex without a single loss, they got to chose their next opponent. aKm chose NV and publicly roasted Taimou on stream while he was in the room by saying that they were the best team in the world and that NV were only the best in NA. Taimou could only be like "He's right, I guess" although he was visibly triggered

Rogue became super well known after they won ESL back at gamescom. Basically, NV was on a 57-0 winstreak, so everyone thought that they'd take the whole thing. After Rogue lost to ReUnited during the group stages and went to the lower bracket and were matched vs NV in the semis, everyone was 100% sure that they'd lose. Rogue went ahead and beat them, then had a rematch with ReUnited during the grand finals and won. During the ow open, they lost to misfits in the EU finals, and misfits then again, beat Envy.

Rogue then won APAC, a chinese tourney where they invited a few western and korean teams

Rogue then beat Lunatic Hai, which was the best Korean team at the time
