I remember in Junkrats fist comic he was disappointed at the fact the robots he was killing were drones and not Omnics, and in Uprising the Null Troopers actually have voice lines and grunted in pain when shot but their replacement in OW2 don't make any noise they just make beeps and boops, but then whats the difference between a Omnic and a drone because Bastion units were deployed on mass like a basic soldier but the Bastion we know is considered a Omnic because it has a personality and thinks freely but they didn't before so can any robot become a Omnic?
