Sigma to Winston (Hammond?): Do you ever miss it? The moon/Do you ever miss it? Being in space?
Sigma to Zarya: You are a very strong woman. But gravity is stronger.
Sigma to ??? (Tracer/Reaper?): You are an anomaly with immeasurable potential. What is there to cure?
Sigma to ???: Possibly. All things are potentially possible, but with enough time? I think so.
Sigma to Reaper: What a strange and fascinating molecular makeup. It could be worth examining.
Sigma to Mei: Dr. Zhou. I've read your work; it's brilliant.
Sigma to Moira: Dr. O'Deorain, the main components have gone missing. Do you know where they might be?"
Sigma to ???: States of being are interchangeable. Time is an illusion.
Sigma to Winston: (sighs) He was a good friend. And you were much smaller back then.
Sigma to ??? (Tracer/Reaper?): I would like to study the peculiarities of your condition. Perhaps we could find a way to stabilize them!
Sigma to ??? (Widowmaker?): I saw you at Luna's Cabaret the other evening. Would you care to go together sometime?

Sigma also has a response (probably after asking someone out to Luna's Cabaret): Apologies. I wouldn't wish to intrude.
I’m assuming that Sigma is talking about Dr. Winston in his Winston interactive
yes
yup that's all incomplete ones so far
I'm hoping for them to be complete soon
same
last time most of the voice files were modified was April, when they added subtitles
subtitles?
Oh I just thought they’d make the responses before releasing him out of ptr
i dont really understand baptiste
He seems fleshed out
Especially since he has his own short story
What’s wrong with him
I love Baptiste
Same
I think he's a good example of a bad guy gone good
we already have a few good guys gone bad with Reaper and Widowmaker
Stormtrooper Finn 2.0 but I still appreciate it
if you look hard enough, you'll find parallels between all the heroes and other fictional characters
Because before the Crisis he was just a normal dude
before the crisis he was a child with a family
the crisis took away his family and gave him a reason to fight
Mercy was also a child with a family - the crisis took away her family and gave her a reason not to fight
I heard he wen't to the army but they didn't wanted to fund him
and didn't saw his talents so he teamed w/ Talon?
Nah he was part of the Carribean coalition right?
Baptiste joined the Caribbean Coalition when he was old enough (after the crisis), but when they had nothing left to do he moved on and joined Talon
Ye
oh yeah that
Makes sense for him to join aswell
After his service was complete, Baptiste struggled to find a demand for his unique skills. He turned to one of the few opportunities open to him: joining the Talon mercenary group, one of the many organizations that were poised to profit off the chaos in the war's aftermath.
my brains fried man from the heat over here
Talon didn’t have such a giant title as it does in modern OW
they weren't a known terrorist organization back then
^
understandable
they were just known as a mercenary group
Oh yeah his old men came after him
He even said that in his short story
I think
Also what happened to Mawga
yep
the only way you leave Talon is in a casket
Baptiste kinda blew him up when he was running away
but it's left open ended so he could return
ayee
Ah
So when does that scene in the bar with Baptiste and Mauga and the other guy take place
present day
about 2 days after the recall message gets send out
at the same time, Mei is in Antarctica building her freeze gun so she can fix the antenna
So Mauga is alive then
probably
Wonder if mauga is still togheter after the big explosion or he lost some body part or got some scars
whos mauga
maybe he got some cybernetics as well
I'd kill for more cyborgs in game
Mauga's the big buff dude in some of Baptiste's sprays
and I think he's featured in his backstory as well
ohh
Hello
I just watched Mcrees short right and it had echo in it wat does she have to do with anything
We talkin bout mauga
changed the subject
havent seen that either
wait overwatch has books
you type really fast
Thanks
Well he’s one of Baptistes close friends while working for Talon
Here lemme get a photo
and how do you post photos
Good point
Upload it somewhere and get the link
ok
what if you screen shotted it
Wouldn’t that still be an image
but it has no link does it
Unless you got the link to the screenshot
Which is just equivalent to getting the link online
We mean of a certain photo
It’s in Baptistes short
And that’d be more work than it’s worth so Dming was a much easier option
cant find a way to post it so i will just tell you
Literally google Mauga and the photo is there
in numbani theres this thing and it says SIGMA Bot couture or something like that
And?
It’s just a brand
Yeah
you sure about that
Yes
It has nothing to do with the character
you really sure
wait actually
Unless they reveal Sigma is actually an undercover tailor I am pretty sure
nice i just found an undercover clothing company
what if talon is making bots and then that company is making clothes for them
That’s close to shitposting so I’ll stop it right there
What you mean?
Talon is a terrorist organization so you can't shut it down
oh
Overwatch was shut down because it was corrupted at the end
How
Due to Reyes and Blackwatch's activities
The covert ops of Overwatch that was led by Reyes, aka Reaper
that guy is so annoying
bout to pop your dragon blade then comes up behind you and eliminates you
He's my favourite character actually
Y
and isnt blackwatch bad
They used to be good
oh and then they became talon?
its what the goverment used to fight the omnics? i think
or just wars in general
in america
like captain america
It was a program through which they would give certain chosen people supernatural strength, agility, and reflexes
like soldier
Well it’s what the world leader at the time thought was needed to defend people from the threat of Monica
Like Reyes himself actually
Omnics
Ok
Actually Reyes was a little unlucky because he had some genetic problems, likely a result of the SEP
what is so bad about omnics
The fact that they were trying to annihilate mankind?
That seems like a good enough reason to stop them
what about zenyatta
Well he is the minority
Oh and communism
what
communism?
and that bot in the storm rising short where this bot whas trying to protect people
also communism isnt as bad as people think
some robots good some bad
just putting it out ther
There are examples of good omnics, but the majority of them were the "evil" bastions produced by the omniums
Y’all better not talk about real politics
Also even the good omnics can get hacked by the God Programs
is bation an omnic
i dont think we should discuss communism in here man
Yes
yes
yes, Bastion is an omnic
if I am not mistaken Pharah had an omnic friend who got hacked by Anubis
And he had to kill himself
whos anubis
a god program
is that in temple of a noob
A super intelligent AI that got locked
oof
its protected in temple of anubis i think
And has the power to take control of other omnics
cool where
my phrarah lore is bad sorry
"protected" sure is one word for "quarantined"
no
why was she exiled
ana has a robotic eye thing though
!!loreHeroes ana
To learn more, please visit https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/ana#story
she is meant to be dead
Of the playable heroes only Reaper and Soldier were super soldiers
her eye was shot out by widowmaker
well i dont know if it was shot out but it was shot
yeah i know that
sorry
thats alright
the only known characters who were inducted into the Soldier Enhancement Program were Morrison (Soldier) and Reyes (Reaper)
why
what do you mean why
justin knowdoke?
what?
whom
that guy or girl in the photo
You mean Janina Kowalska?
Janina Kowalska
her name is listed as Janina Kowalska, it's a Polish equivalent to Jane Doe
aka Ana Amari
yeah that
that's her CT scan from after she got her eye shot out
her actual name is Ana Amari
oh
she had amnesia
i thought she was super soldier
so it was just a fake name thing
more like she couldn't remember her name at first
they should give spiderman skin to lucio
ana is a very odd character letting her child and partner man thing think she was dead
she was protecting them
for copyright reasons they cannot give lucio that skin
dang
because if talon knew she was dead they wouldnt come after her family for interrogation
i didnt think of it like that
just a guess
Pharah was 26 when Ana went missing
either that or shes old
i thought she was a child
how old is ana
Ana is 60
rein is the oldest i think
or older
Rein was born in 2010
i thought it was 2015
no cause he knows ana
Shrug
@worthy rose what makes you think that?
@peak escarp Original lore
rein is like 61
Says he was born in the 200's
wait when is overwatch set
2000's
we don't know what year it is currently in the story
its from the future poland
like 2000 and what
it's "60 years from now"
we are all dead noww
2006-2020
what are you even saying
so between about 2070 and 2080
wait how do they have advanced technology
Yeah
oh thats how
im pissed off at overwatch for having such a cool concept but no storymode thing
Yes that's my point
60 years is a alot in terms of tech
no cell phones
They have it BC its th FUTURE and 70-80 years is a long time, most humans don't live that long
yea and we probably wouldnt have the resources the way the worlds going now
@dusty basalt there's Archives mission and stuff
60 years is a lot in terms of technology
There is a lot of research in 60 years, so it's not really so absurdly advanced
archives isnt very good
@peak escarp tbh, we've kinda slowed down since then
I could see Hanzo's ultimate being a thing 60 years into the future, for example
we got airpods tho
there's not that much difference between now and 10 years ago
airpods are for people who cant afford wires
all it takes is another innovation to give technology another leap forward
like micro robots forming into one giants dragon super weapon
it's not nanobots
Minus the whole "the dragon is lethal to you"
is hanzo a magicina
it's also not magic
what
its genitics
whaat
i dont have a clue what causes the dragon thingys
it's probably some sort of photonic tech, similar to what Symmetra uses
oh yea
closest explanation is that it's some kind of hard light construct
lame
that is biologically activated
cool
Or MAYBE magic
embedded into tattoos is my guess
like a qr code
hanzo mains are the worst
this is l o r e
HOW DARE YOU
the world of Overwatch doesn't really have magic
oh yea
Inhale
I mean, there's tech that's basically magic, in terms of how malleable it is, but still
but what about moira
hanzo is really interesting in lore terms
Moira reverse engineered Mercy’s nanobiotics
Yeah, Hanzo is a Sad Conflicted Boi
Instead of healing it slowly kills them
oh
nice
moira is very smart
Most things can be explained
overwatch is confusing
yep
Even if it’s technobabble every character can be explained
All 31 heroes
And all side characters
even ZENYATTA
and echo
explanation for echo please
she's a robot
We don’t have much info on Echo yet but we should in the near future
She may be the next hero
Zen is a former Shimbali
shimabli
One of the omnic Nepalian monks
That’s just where the Omnic outcasts fled
the monks chose to make their headquarters there
To the mountains
cool
but he and Genji still live in the Nepal village below the monastery
lol
it can look confusing until you get things explained
did you know that overwatch was the first team based FPS
Is it
wasn't TF2 the first?
apparently
Do you mean class based
Becuase team shooter existed for a while
Wasn't TF2 first? It's team and class based
awkward silence
Sometimes you forget this is a team-based game
yea
burn but fair enough
It's not really meant to be a burn
It's that I play a lot of deathmatch so sometimes I forget about the original premise
But whatever
burn?
no one plays capture the flag
What should be Zen's lore anyways
Something that makes him less boring than he is right now
Do you think someone designed him?
Maybe he used to be a war omnic like bastion but evolved
Well he’s probably on of the outcasts onmics
Or atleast there descendants
He’s only 20
wtf omnics have age
The rocks have an age
I guess I just didn't think about omnic age
Hell the universe has an age
Anyways the omnics, being discriminated by humans fled to the Nepalese mountains
Where they all experienced what the called the Iris
Now they worship it in a Omni-Buddhist fashion
With many,many obvious Buddhist parellels
When did genji leave blackwatch to join overwatch? Or did he first get his training by zenyatta?
Blackwatch is overwatch
And zen never trained him
His family did
He was built to be an assassin
Zen was almost like his therapist
Why does genji calm him "master"
And when he was cleansed he joined OW main corps
He was his master
He helped him through his mental struggles
He was very hateful at the time
I see
And Zen was able to teach him peace
so twenty years ago, zen was built, but for what purpose? To teach peace to genji?
No
We don’t exactly know why
2 reasons
Possibly
1 he was a simple Omnic made by an omnium
2 he was made by the Shimbali
1 seems more likely
But we’ll find out when he gets his backstory
who is shimbaly again
The Omnic monk group
The ones who live in the Nepal mountains
Mondatta is one of there leaders
Oh right
Now the only thing I can see being able to make an argument that the Shimbali made him is his forehead
It has a 3x3 dot design
Like most Shimbali do
But he could’ve just had that attached onto him later
We don’t know for sure
Zenyatta could have been built as a service omnic
Yeah
That's... Unlikely
you can see a shopkeeper omnic in Reflections that is the same model
@dry portal story makes more sense lel
It’s just a thought
Anything’s possible
Hopefully we do get his lore eventually
And more insight about the Shimbali in general
Like what the Iris is
Maybe the 3×3 is the Iris plug that zen got plugged
Could be
That's a 2×3
yeah
But yeah we’ll find out hopefully soon
Has Jeff or Chu said anything about Zens missing lore @peak escarp
Jeff removes zen because he couldnt come up with lore
Do You know when he said it
it was during Seagull's Sigma stream
Woah that’s recent
yes

I rly do hope we learn more about the Iris
I don't see why everyone cares so much about Zen getting lore
The Shimbalis tech interests me too
why not get lore that moves the story forward instead?
Zen exists?
he's not exactly important right now
Zen's lore would really push the story's sense
I mean I would like to get all the founding members stories settled before we go
He was in the first launch roster
I want his lore too
and Symmetra
Don’t we have a bit on Symmetra
i mean its canon that he has a form of healing that’s even gotten mercy interested, so he can be more of an asset to the story than being genji’s mentor
Maybe zen was a servent, and he escaped, and then he formed overwatch, but later, people realized the founder was an omnic, so overwatch got shut down
Wait what
Zenyatta was never a member of Overwatch
Wait zen wasn't in overwatch
no
his connection to Overwatch is through Genji
Like Baptiste
oh crap
That's changing everything
Wait did you think all the heroes were in OW?
Maybe in the future
But for now no
Not even Hanzo is in OW
Or Lúcio
I don’t think
Overwatch is older than zen how did he found it?
Also true
the ones who are former Overwatch are Ana, Genji, McCree, Mei, Mercy, Moira, Reaper, Reinhardt, Soldier, Torbjorn, Tracer and Winston
Brigitte and possibly Bastion have joined Overwatch post-Recall
Moira Never joined overwatch
she was in Blackwatch
Neither did reaper
^
which is part of Overwatch
hanzo might join too
Yes Reaper did
She was blackwatch which is a branch of overwatch
Reaper/Reyes was a founding member of Overwatch
I'm very confused
Soldier: 24
im curious what they’ll do with the heroes that arent affiliated with talon or overwatch
Blackwatch was part of Overwatch
They were both part of the SEP
What is the Connection between blackwatch and overwatch
Moira and Reyes were both in BW
Blackwatch is the black ops branch of OW
and Reyes was in the Strike team before then
Blackwatch was the black ops division of Overwatch, which did the dirty work like kidnapping and assassinations
Uses for more dark and secretive missions
Which is what got OW finally kicked out
For doing dirty work
known members were Reyes, McCree, Moira and Genji
So blackwatch is another team or the same team as overwatch
same team
it's part of overwatch the organization
it's not the same "team" if you're talking about the strike team like the four people who were in Uprising
I know nothing about the lore of overwatch holy crap
You gotta catch up friend
there's a lot to know
But I’ll be here
If u wanna know
And @peak escarp has a shit ton of lore links
She can get u them
Thanks, u guys
I'm going to make lore vids soon too, now that I'm over my cold
starting with a general timeline
Nice
What's your YouTube
A lot of the lore videos on YouTube rn are missing a lot of the facts
Especially the full timeline ones
Aight I found you
I just have old gameplay vids and PotG montages there for now
Cool I'll sub
Same
@peak escarp is dash included among Genji's canon abilities?
he's also used it here
Discover the story behind one of Overwatch’s biggest rivalries in our third animated short: Dragons! Then begin your watch May 24 on PC, PlayStation 4, or Xb...
so I'd say yes
So what I’m wondering is why abilites ingame aren’t counted as canon
Why wouldn’t they be
So Hanzos storm arrows wouldn’t be considered canon?
They seem to have the same function as the dragons
Able to manipulate light to creat things
storm arrow replaced scatter arrow
and at the time of the short, scatter arrow was still there
we just havent seen storm arrows as an ability in canon yet, so for now we cant confirm
Oh
I mean idk some abilities seem canon
I feel like they should be treated like how we treat voice lines and skins
Some are canon
Some are not
well, thats how we're treating them
but unlike skins which literally tell you whether or not they're canon, abilities dont
What about voice lines
i think thats just common sense, we know tracer never shot down reaper and mocked his "death comes", but the interaction with genji where she blames herself for mondatta's death is only there to show that side of her
its hard to look at an interaction like that and go "nope that doesnt mean anything"
I mean idk some abilities seem canon
I feel like they should be treated like how we treat voice lines and skins
Some are canon
Some are not
We do treat them like that
the abilities that the characters have shown to possess outside of gameplay are canon
Everything is canon
the others are in limbo, unless explicitly deconfirmed
assume no until yes
Although I guess that is needed for things such as the dark age of Beta Abilities
Such as Lúcio being able to slow time
@dry portal the standard for whether an ability is considered canon is whether it made an appearance in lore material
So storm arrow would be considered non canon then
yes
it would be more accurate to say that it's not featured in canon
it's possible for it to be canon, unlike, say, resurrection
^
but it's not so far
Yeah it just seemed likely since it has the same consistent function
It’s able to fabricate things out of presumably light
Which is what both dragons and storm arrow does
I think if storm arrow is featured in canon it's just going to be him pulling the arrows back faster
He makes arrows out of some energy from the tattoos
and not energy magic ones
since the only limit to his normal rate of fire is gameplay
Wouldn’t that not be consistent on how the tattoos work then
Plus why wouldn’t they just make him make arrows
¯_(ツ)_/¯
but then again, we can make educated guesses on what are canon. i'd say ressurect is not, but mercy's gun, which has made no appearance in canon, could be
an ability can be overall canon and not work quite the same as in-game
some more than others however
I’m just saying idk why they’d remove him creating arrows instead of just making him create arrows
they're either nerfed for balance reasons or buffed for smooth gameplay and responsiveness
yeah
see blink for the former and self-destruct for the latter
oh self destruct is a big one
it's in character for d.va's gamer side but obviously not canon because she doesnt just blow up something that expensive and summon a new one from the sky
or, rather, self-destruct (at least 1.0 self-destruct) is pretty lore-y
Call Mech on the other hand
she had no other out and it was a pretty creative way of kinda introducing her ult in the lore, but she probably would never do it otherwise
its not an "ability" in the lore exactly
it's an ability in the sense that it's a thing she can do
what most amazed me how on-the-nose the description of the immortality field was
like, it was basically described as working literally the way it works in the game
if it were programmed into her mech, but she needed someone else to get the reactor to overload then shoot it for it to actually blow up
So wait I’m confused
What was different about Dvas destruct in the short compared to game
i mean, i doubt you'd be able to stand in it and survive a bullet to the head
in the short, there was no ability to self-destruct, she just found a way to blow it up
along with the gwishin omnic
Oh
Also in Baptistes short he survived a giant explosion using the field
So idk what kind of science it uses
yeah
But it’s pretty damn powerful
in reality it's probably something more along the lines of impact reduction field
Ye
"activating self destruct sequence!" like its an actual thing programmed into her mech. which is in character for sure, how game-y it feels to toss out a mech and call in a new one
some people actually took the in-game voice lines to mean that she actually added that functionality and started blowing up mechs left and right 😒
if sombra's emp was canon, she can cause much more damage in the lore than she does in-game
She can also hack a shit ton more
Like a giant synevagor’s arm
Or however it’s spelt
svyatogor
Ye that
A for effort though
Also now that I think about if Sombra is smart she should be able to beat almost all OW heroes with hacking
Since 90% use a lot of high tech
just hack tracer's accelerator away, boom no more tracer
Only ones she probably couldn’t beat are like the Junkers Sigma and maybe some others
Most of there stuff is still a technology with a energy source
Oh yeah def
electric doesn't mean electronic either
His tactical visor would probably not work
Ye but it sure helps
Ana
Reaper?
i mean, an emp as we know it kills all electronics in the vicinity with no hope of bringing it back
not really
an emp fries unshielded electronics
but shielding electronics is easy enough that an expensive consumer-grade device will have it
not to bring up military stuff
All Omnics probably get ultra countered by Sombra
if you want a good demonstration of how Deadeye looks like in canon, watch Reunion
not to mention this is a sombra emp, she probably upgraded the hell out of whatever we know to be an emp
i mean i know ow is science fantasy and all
his showdown with Ashe is a Deadeye, down to the sound cues
but how the hell do you upgrade an emp
Yeah McCree is just a dude with a gun
Most Sombra could hack is maybe his arm
Depending on what it’s made of
it's a big fuck off explosion of energy
you don't make it not a big fuckoff explosion of energy
well not upgrade the emp itself, but as an ability, combine in with other stuff, like a... mass auto-hack? yeah she can probably do that
Torb is pretty safe too imo
Also by hack depending on what it is she may be able to control it
Oh yeah definitely
his gun isn't techy and I think his turret is hella shielded
his turrets not so much
she hacked volskaya's turrets no problem
she hacked the electronic controls
oh wait there was a control board
on the central
Yeah she can probably turn the turrets against him
we're talking about frying with an emp
what about tracer's chronal accelerator?
I don't think Torb's would be too susceptible to that either
Volskaya's mechs were hacked because of central control
I thought you guys were talking about hacking
the turret as far as we know is self-contained
Doesn’t it have a system that differs its targeting from friend and foe
which is self-contained
sure if sombra gets inside of it or something
but at this point might as well blow it up
mei's pretty safe too i wager
Ye
her stuff is pretty low tech
hacking it would probably be no big deal to her, might as well turn it against them
he'd get wiped out if unshielded
but I doubt he is
we may get a moment of realization where a piece of his armor breaks off and he's vulnerable or whatever
actually that would be kinda neat
I just imagine Sombra hacking into genjis cybernetics and making him do some dumb shit
like murdering hanzo
Lel
Reinhardt would be relatively ok
Only thing he needs to worry about is his shield
but from a writing perspective, if it were canon, they'd probably pick and choose what gets affected and what doesnt for the sake of plot and expect us not to question it
It’d just depend really
If we had more understanding of both Sombras hacking and the technology of Ow it’d be easier to decide
Like Torbjörn turrets
but emp, visually, is more of an "epic" ability the way she spreads her arms out and glows and this massive bubble expands in a shockwave throughout the area, it'd probably be an endgame type of ability that causes a lot of damage
Probably
Not sure what it’d rly do much of tho
It’s still an emp
She even describes it as such
kills all shields, tracer gone, no comms, all the lights are out, overwatch are scared and confused
just because its not a bullet or an explosion doesnt mean it doesnt cause havoc
Would she be able to disable pulse technology
Like the Tesla canon
Or pulse Pistols
And bombs
True I guess
Winston would probably be ok with just Primal Rage
Since everything else he uses is technological
we already got our sombra short so im not counting on seeing emp any time soon, but hopefully at some point
its just visually such a cool thing
Are there any Sombra comics
I’d probably still be able to find more about her hacking cybernetics and abilities
So I’ll probably go look there later
Also by one do you mean there’s more?
it means im not sure if she has made any appearances in other comics because its been ages since ive read them
but i dont think so
and she doesnt do much in terms of abilities in searchng
Oh
I probably need to read the comics tbh
I’m pretty sure Doctor sent me a link to them
Do they have a specific order?
Oh ok
I’ll check those out later then
I’ve been very interested in the lore of OW as of recent
Whole reason I joined the server a few weeks ago
same lmao
i dont know anyone that cares much about it and joined the big ow server on the off chance there'd be a lore channel
I merely assumed
If this one didn’t have one I would’ve gone for lore specific channels
But if thankfully did
yep
there isn't really an order to the comics, since they aren't connected
but overall, counting the shorts, comics and short stories, the order would be:
Recall -> Alive/Rise and Shine/What You Left Behind/Honor and Glory -> Infiltration -> Old Soldiers -> Bastet -> Reflections -> Masquerade
those are the ones that focus on the plot rather than just character moments
In the comic Old Soldiers, Reaper tells Ana "They left me to become this thing. They left you to die. They left me to suffer."
Who's Reaper talking about?
Overwatch
Why would he say that though
He fought against Morrison and then the HQ collapsed on them
They didn't actually leave him to die
Moira experimented on him to become Reaper. He was in blackwatch back then. They agreed on experiments, after overwatch fall nobody cared how agents are. Ana was presumptously shot dead by widowmaker. They didn't helped her either.
Was it made public that Moira was experimenting on Reyes?
I thought it was just a thing they had going on in secret
Not really public, but i doubt moira had fully equipped lab and wasn't supervised by either overwatch or blackwatch
@worthy rose he's talking about Overwatch and Morrison
Why would he talk about Morrison when he was basically fighting him? They were enemies when Reyes became Reaper
we don't really know anything about what really happened at Overwatch HQ
I suppose it could just be Reaper having an irrational hatred and not thinking clearly
I'd love to see that event in an animated short since it was the single most defining moment in the history of Overwatch
feels like it'll never happen, with how cagey Blizzard is being about it
Is ana still the better sniper than widow?
ana was never a better sniper than widow
widow was always better than ana in sniping
but hanzo is definitely the best sniper
Ana would have beaten widow if she didn’t recognise her though
Ana had Widow beat (she predicted where she would grapple, or something?) but she hesitated to fire the killing shot after she realised it was Amelie
@slate oasis this channel is about lore, not gameplay
@pliant sparrow who knows, maybe there'll be a rematch that'll allow us to find out

lore is cewl
Correct
can you guys help me
With what
I think even now, Ana is probably the better sniper
Depends on what makes a brtter sniper
Ana is better in every way but one
She hesitated
Widowmaker doesn't
Ana sees every kill as a person and family she is unfortunately destroying
Widowmaker rnjoys killing
valuing the lives you have to take is a positive, not a negative in my books
in terms of technical skill, Ana is better
we don't know if modern ana is
So @stark plaza what’s wrong
genji is the better sniper
were soldiers helix rockets made by helix security?
!!shitposting @rotund girder
@rotund girder Shitposting will result in a loss of access.
he raised a bunch of Overwatch bases
@supple bear They're called Helix Rockets because they move in a helix formation
They were part of the Heavy Pulse Rifle that OW was developing before they went under
Why is soldier 76 gay
Same reason Widowmaker is straight
This event comes after a week during which multiple former Overwatch bases were targeted.

Experimental Weapon Stolen
Should clear things up
The name is probably the same as Sigma
No relation to the company
Helix Security was the ones tasked with guarding them
how did widowmaker become blue
Talon slowed down her heart so that she would become the perfect sniper
thanks
not a smurf
Are any of the characters related
Ana/Pharah are mother/daughter.
Torbjorn/Brig are father/daughter
Genji/Hanzo are brothers
That is all
it was lost during Operation White Dome
Ye that
Reinhardt saved his life
okay
Is Hanzo and Genjo part of the Yakuza? Or just a crime family
The Shimada crime syndicate
basically future yakuza
Neo Tokyo Yakuza ftw
What’s shit posting
Late 2070s i think
2070s-2080s, yeah
so what's the deal with sigmas whole music thing he has going on
An experiment with black holes went wrong and completely shattered his mind so it ain't as functional. He started hearing music which he deemed was the Universe's melody
Personally, I think it's kinda like a state of schizophrenia
If only schizophrenia would give u the power to control gravity irl
It’s possible he’s more in tune with the universe than most people
He may have seen or heard something that can only be found through black holes
Good luck guessing what that actually is
sigma is too supernatural
As opposed to Tracer or Reaper?
None of them are really supernatural
why would you straight up just make a statement like that without backing it up, as if they tossed sigma into the game without giving it a second thought
mate he flys
I'm not sure what the fuss about Sigma is all about
Zarya has been having control over gravity since release
Did people forget her ultimate is a black hole?
shhh
Which means she manipulated gravity, just like Sigma
But apparently Sigma is now very special and too supernatural for the game
And second it's not an actual black hole
IN GAME ABILITIES ARE NOT ALWAYS CANON UNTIL SHOWN IN LORE OTHERWISE
Which she is using, so she is manipulating it
how does sigma even levitate? does he just control gravity out of his hands? im very confused
It's like saying that if I stab someone it's not me who kills you but the knife
I don't care if they are not canon, because in the game she still has that ability and obviously that is relevant
Sigma manipulates gravity without a weapon or any tools
thats confusing
zarya uses a tool to do it, so it makes more sense
Since Zarya was systematically doing the same thing anyway. Yes obviously there are some tiny differences, which most people do not even know about
You calling it a black hole is also wrong; If it was a black hole of that size, literally everything would be destroyed and the world would be destroyed by a single use
You don't have to repeat it, I already got it
oh stop being so technical
that's not even a technicality, it's science; what you stated is like having a flashlight and calling it a sun
Yes. And you already explained it once. No need to repeat it. Sorry if I called it a black hole, clearly I need to learn more about that topic.
Also really not every ability is canon; Mercy's Rez is absolutely not canon
sigma's experiment went wrong and it affected him, giving him the ability to control gravity
just like how tracer's accident gave her the ability to control time
That was not my point
ok
My point was addressing someone who claimed that Sigma was out of place/too supernatural, which I don't agree with
Sigma, Tracer, and Reaper all have supernatural powers granted to them by unfortunate accidents. Much like a lot of super heroes in comics.
Tracer's accident didn't giver her the ability to control time
if you dont agree with me, dont flood this channel
it made her disconnected from the timeline
Well, its not the sole thing
she needs the accelerator to control time, but without the accident giving her chronal disassociation the accelerator would be useless
Its a mix of accidents plus technology and training that helps them control it
I'm just making an observation
And Reaper's may have existed before his accident
Sorry if I disagreed with Sigma being too supernatural
its a videogame at the end of the day.
Sigma fits in the context of the universe
His powers are no stranger than Tracer or Reaper
Who were the first two heroes created
its a video game but it has a fleshed out universe and characters
If you can't handle criticisms or rebuttals to your argument, then don't bring up bad or poorly worded statements
Also sorry to whoever brought up about the Sigma music thing, I know you got lost somewhere in this sea; there is actually a connection there with like a theory or something
sigma's story is meant to be crazy, just like his mind is, but he fits in the universe
On Sigma's music
The big theory is that what he is hearing is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musica_universalis
Its a mathematical concept
Also Sigma is kind of in a weird zone cause besides his character origin story, we don't know what abilities he truly has and only have speculation
At the very least, he is capable of creating singularities
I doubt he was straight up forming blackholes and if he was, his ability to control them would already just be overwhelmingly beneficial to Talon since they could quite literally kill anybody and everything
