So I have this weird theory that I wanted to tell you guys (feel free to debunk). So what if Echo is Liao? It sounds weird but if you think about it. On the cover of the First strike comic that got scrapped there is a mysterious girl and an omnic, everybody thought that the girl was Liao but what if it was the omnic that was Liao? And later they redesigned her but kept the fact that she was an omnic. And also at the end of the Reunion short McCree talks about her like she's someone important, even tho we didn't hear about her until now. The only thing right now that doesn't seem to fit is why would they have an omnic in overwatch during the omnic crisis? It's a bit weird and crazy but still.

im really excited to go frame by frame in echo's emotes and highlight intros, there's a lot of opportunities for stylized animation with the disconnected parts
they can do a more visible and exaggerated form of squash and stretch without actually stretching the mesh
