I don’t know if anyone has talked about this but I have a theory, for the frame when the experiment goes wrong we can see he is in a space environment and knowing he worked for overwatch this could mean he was working at the horizon lunar colony, this could mean that when the test subjects were escaping and destroying the lunar colony, they could have done something to mess up Sigmas experiments creating the accident
