Null Sector came about only due to omnic oppression as seen on Kings Row.
The Gwishin have seemingly never stopped attacking Korea and just retreats whenever it's on the verge of losing and eventually it will win unless someone can outright destroy the omnium or the gwishin completely before it heals.
And as we've seen from Bastion's comic, Bastion units haven't been seen around for a long long time meaning bastion units are probably mostly gone and or haven't been constructed in a couple decades.
The only other real omnic attack is in Russia where they're in the middle of the second omnic crisis and the omnic rights movement in paris which we don't know if it's violent or unviolent but good enough to say there is tension there

We knew going into it that it was not going to unlock Sombra and was just a fun lore thing, but then it got too popular and spiraled into grander anticipations that resulted in mass disappointment
It was also solved faster than Blizz expected, so there were months if waiting
By the time we got the slowest counter, we knew Sombra would be a Blizzcon announcement, but many continued hyping up the arg more than they should have
As a consequence, lots of people were angry the reward was a spray, as they didn't care for the journey. Playing a game and solving the puzzles should be the reward. The spray was nice
But thanks to backlash, they never attempted an arg again
