This Forum is the new home for all of you enthusiasts who want to contribute & participate in the New Artist Styles Contest with a chance to win rewards worth a total of 500 credits!
A new Post will be made for each contest that will go hand in hand with the ⁠posts in the #closed-lyra-artist-styles-guide
Each contest will have its own artists to test out. These will be announced in each post

Our 4th Artist Styles Contest is now out!!! 🎨 🥳

The contest goes hand to hand with the last episode in ⁠the New Artist Styles Guide posted today (FANTASY Artists!!) and will correspond to the artists 🧑‍🎨 in that episode.

🚨 Please note that the Artist Styles are recognized by "Art/Lyra" ONLY and not by "Photos"!

Here are the rules!
▶️ You are allowed to submit one entry per artist (use Art/Lyra for the Artist Style to be recognized)
▶️ Submissions should be posted in this channel through a starryai weblink + copy of specific image entered labelling the Artist Name
▶️ You are totally free to pick ANY composition and use ANY prompt as long as the Artist Name is used. Evaluation is high on the relevant Artist's Style & Aesthetic
▶️ All settings must be open/public as we are here to share know-how and tips!
▶️ Submission are open for a week till following Sunday (11th of June). Afterwards submissions will no longer be accepted
▶️ There will be direct winners + we will pick a shortlist of entries for Voters Choices
▶️ Voting will be closed and winners will be announced 24 hours later

I'd like to repeat a previous tip to all our contestants out there 🙂
The more modifiers you add, the less true the result stays to the style.
The idea of using an Artist Name is that you can achieve a specific aesthetic/style with no or minimal need for modifiers 🙂
If the same modifiers are added to all creations, we end up with images that share the same vibe losing the individuality of the artist style
So try ***not ***to use modifiers that would change the nature of the style!
Examples:
Using photorealistic with an Artistic style will result in a totally altered artwork that is NOT artistic
Using hyperdetailed with a Minimalist style will result in an artwork that is NOT minimalistic
You get the idea!
Same with too many excessive negative prompts. They will alter the end result away from the style of the Artist
Experiment with less modifiers and see if that gives more stylized results! 🙂

Can I just say that this has been one of the most fun contests I have been on. It really made me reinvent prompts for some artists AND it put me on the road to recreate some of my old glorious styles I generated by accident when I was new and used 600 word bad grammar prompts

I am still figuring this all out, but on a personal level, I try to create with AI, that which my mind puts visual in front of me (real picture thinker). The more I learn, and these contests push me to that, the better I (we) get.

The good thing is that prompts now ( specially with the use of Artist Styles 😉 ) don't need long prompts

It's not about being long, it's about certain terms that don't exist like that in English in some cases, so you need to use other words that cause some lack due to translation
(And I don't copy famous artists because I don't want a reproduction but my own style in a certain way of digital art that might be used by couple of artists but not in the way it's just one popular artist like e.g. Rembrandt or so)

PS: the best results (in most cases) were with quite short prompts, from the start, it seems : more words = worse results 😅
