Seriously dont get me wrong i love the idea of spirit guides, but at time i feel that the Primals should have a Dragon Spirit guide for them. I dont know about other but at times i being Playing a Naga racial, and just feel how great it would of been if we had a Dragon Spirit Guide that can be any element of are choosing but have different aspects. Like how each primal works for some kind of land adaptation? Well Dragon can run Any Land but has a detriment. But it benefit is that it grants the Units or even the Hero new powers of some kind.

maybe just a whole new Primal ..."dragon"!? like you said NO terrain benefits, instead have a unique access to dragon units in the RoL or perhaps through thier city build chain? So their "primal fury" would add probably whatever damage the unit normally has then on a full stack of 5 grant dragonic rage for 2 turns or something?
which if you did said combo with other dragon units, youd in theory have a pretty cool build.
Especially if you combine having a dragon lord as a ruler!
