My mod maker continually does not accept the fact that I have linked the CityUpgrades_Strategic rpk to my custom RPK. I am creating a mod which modifes the income of the different types of buildings. It worked for Coastal, and then I stopped for the day. I am now back 2 days later making the one for draft. For some reason, now both the Coastal and Draft guilds always flag their structure properties as "broken", and no longer work. I have not touched the code for Coastal, and the tier 1-3 buildings do not do this.
#Mod Maker refuses to link custom rpk

Tried some more stuff, still noting. So far everything that has failed to fix it:
1: Removing and readdding the rpk linkage in the same session
2: Removing the rpk linkage, saving, closing, reopening, and reapplying the linkage.
3: Reverifying the game file
4: Relinking all of the structure properties
5: Adding in some of the colony tags which were present in some building's in base code, but not others (had no apparent effect)
6: Completely removing the code that was flagged as broken (the ones for the Guilds only). Game loaded, no changes took place, even in the non-broken code.
7: Changing the names of the modifiers
So far, as said at the top, none of it has stopped it from breaking. ANY information is greatly appreciated.
Oh, and apparently it also is now preventing me from loading anything when the mod is enabled. Not just resuming a game, but loading the main menu either
This is probably the wrong place to ask about this sort of thing. Perhaps try #modding-questions ?
It’s already been fixed, probably should update this
Also, sometimes you just don’t get any answers. Like, your question just gets buried and never answered
Ask several times, I suppose. XD But yeah it can be frustrating. Personally I rarely ask and more likely to search that channel for my issue instead, but I haven't tried anything more complex than some cosmetic tweaks.
It was a circular dependency. Well, technically 8, but they were all caused by the exact same linked file
Classic.
