As a champion of the Dune Serpent subculture of the Primal culture, you can start with a Staff of the Dune Serpent. However, that staff has Steel Blast from the Industrious culture instead of the animists' Dune Blast. Both deal the same amount of physical damage, but they have different visual effects.
I'd like to suggest that not only should the Staff of the Dune Serpent use Dune Blast, Steel Blast should be differentiated by dealing a split of physical and fire damage, much like Transmuters now do.
