This playthrough is meant to function like a pseudo story realm. Heavily Rp influenced undergoing the story of the empire I am playing. You can see the brief notes as to what I am playing in greater detail. But before we dive in, lets catch up on some history.

Long ago Argurath was the true king of all giants in Aureline. He was considered a great ruler who ushered in an age of prosperity and stood in the face of their draconic foes who'd seek the end of their people. While he became more famed and respected, his peers seemingly did not follow a similar path. They hated him. They believed he was not cunning nor had the mind to let their people go further, become godlike beings. Argurath was only concerned with surviving the harsh world they resided in. He lacked the ambition of his peers and it would lead to his downfall. Garadun, a giant who had mastered the ability over flame and became a renowned smith saw a vision for his people. One where we ruled with an iron fist, and those that did not follow suit were put into there place, whether we ruled with fear or with strength did not matter to him. However Argurath was not a tyrant, nor would he have his people view him as a god. Garadun was a man of schemes and plans however, and Argurath did not fit any of them. So he did what he thought the next course of action, discarded him. Garadun saw that most of Arguraths court disliked him and found it easy to create a ploy in which would enable them to kill him. They did exactly that, Argurath one morning found himself amidst all of those he held close excluding his family, which was presumed to be killed, and found a blade stuck in his chest. Once he fell, Garadun locked his corpse away in a keep that transmitted his soul to the abyss, that way nobody could resurrect him. His soul left to rot for eternity.

However the umbral abyss is a fickle mistress and decided to grant Argurath another chance. In his slumber she healed him and those that were also asleep in the crypt from ages before him. With a soft whisper from a young woman's voice he heard "Wake up..." The voice was familiar but he was unable to put a face to it. He eventually awoke soon after and found himself in the crypt he had been locked away in and in almost a new world entirely. He would retake his throne and make Garadun pay, using his new found dark abilities. But would he remain the good-hearted man he was? Or would he become the thing he hated, just to destroy those who wronged him?

#

He looked around us seeing no land that was familiar to him. it mattered not, after he awoke the slumbering soldiers and workers he could they began rebuild their kingdom in this new found world they were in.

#

After some scouting and dealing with the local fauna we stumbled across some brigands nearby, they might prove to be troublesome if not eradicated swiftly.

#

after defeating the brigand camp swiftly to prevent future invasions, we saw their loot that they had gathered over the course of there career, it was rather mediocre.

#

After some exploring Argurath found himself contacted by these lithorite beings that claimed to be the spirits of giants within them. After some discussion over the whispering stone he found himself interested by these "giants" thirst for knowledge, maybe a friendship with them could prove useful as a means to understanding what has changed and happened since his long exile.

#

After accepting to their proposition of a symbiotic relationship they informed him of a blade called the "Sword Throne" and that it was found in the midst of a monster den, they asked him to retrieve it for them. He decided to accept.

#

During his march to the monster den to retrieve the item, he was contacted by a local city that had come from a separate crypt of their long lost empire. He immediately handed them a whispering stone to keep in contact, for he would need all the help he could get.

#

After attacking the den and retrieving the item he sent it on its way to the crystal giants for them to study, and in return he got to keep his spoils of war.

#

During exploration a scout came into contact with some necrotic toads. We lacked the resources to continue with diplomatic relations and where fine keeping our distance for now from them. (Will continue later for I am very tired)

During our scouts travels we stumbled into a sect of islands with some strange crystal like activity. Maybe the crystal giants know something about this. But maybe a more personal examination is required.

#

Along the shore it became apparent of spiritual activity not too far from the shore. It appears dormant... but for how long?

#

Back at Armagor it appears the people are becoming agitated with their current living situation. In response Argurath has order construction of taverns to help with happiness.

#

Argurath found himself contacted by his general, Zaer'o who he had recently recurited, and was posed with a strange question in relation to the taste of spiders. Naturally he said he had never had any and Zaer'o states that consuming the flesh of such a creature can provide strength and knowledge. Argurath thought this was some long jest but seeing the sincerity of Zaer'o eyes convinced him that maybe this was worth indulging him, so he humored him and began marching towards this famed spider.

#

(after finishing our research on tome of cryomancy, we will begin our next venture into alchemy as it will be important for our build.)

#

After building the taverns which have seemed to subsided the people of Armagors frustrations for now some scholars found blueprints of statues they could form that would amplify their dark power. Argurath saw no reason why not to do this so he gave them the go ahead. Little did he know what would occur to the lands around him

#

After some time Argurath found himself in contact with a being of pure death it seemed. She greeted us cautiously and proposed a question that stood with Argurath, "Are you a master, or a pawn?'

#

After slaying the spiders Argurath indulged himself in a feast and felt invigorated. (After leveling up we grabbed a dispelling rune for the frost strikes and continued down our path to be a tank giant.)

you think frost strikes is more valuable than the flat damage of the earth rune?

#

Well also for the passive cleansing

#

Since I plan to build him as mentioned to be more tanky

#

Also didn’t know there was one that did flat 15%

#

After some time construction finished and the statue was erected, however he Argurath did not expect it to twist and contort the land, in a panic people ran but when the gloom made contact with them they found themselves unscathed. It felt like the perfect climate to them. So he said it could remain, it could prove as a useful deterrence for their future enemies. Additionally, Argurath stumbled upon some mercenaries which he decided to let go as they had meant no actual harm to him. Later Duchess Clara contacted him and requested that they share their new findings on this world which he was happy to do granting her some of his knowledge. After that a scout had located our neighbors capital and Argurath was once again contacted by the crystal giants for a new objective, he was happy to accept.

#

(for our next level up for our big fella I decided to grab enchanter so we could begin aiming for rune of protection)

#

After retrieving the stone he sent an envoy to be sent on its way to their crystal friends.

#

During Arguraths travels he noticed the stars align in the sky and the night becoming more bright with a glow. he noticed his bannerman feeling as if they had been magically enchanted by the gods themselves. He did not understand this phenomenon but decided to use it to his advantage anyway.

Scythil contacted Argurath swiftly and informed them of her open resentment towards him, he didn't understand what he did to her but apparently that did not matter.

as the coming days went by Argurath came into contact with creatures of the abyss, during their very brief conversation he found himself wanting nothing to do with them. However, right before he could end the connection they uttered one statement that caught his attention "We know where your daughter resides." He froze, almost as if the words that manifested from the abomination where something out of a dream. "Where is she?" He pleaded. The demon informed him that he could only entrust him with that information after he proved to be a useful accomplice. So he granted the demons a large stash of glod. He would find his daughter, even if it meant working with dark forces.

During the scouts travels they located a corpse of a long lost giant and Zaer'o sorted out an issue over the nearby haste berries of his city.

During the days the stars that had aligned to create the anomaly which had effected his casters slowly faded and with that came in the introduction of more people. First it was Grudom Skullkeeper, an orc who seemed to have an affinity for necromancy much like the other empire we have met. Argurath noted this and seems that the use of the dark arts has grown since his absence. Soon after however, he met another fellow giant. This one, Jalkor "Draconian Slayer", had specialized his people in killing dragons from the great war long ago. He issued a declaration of friendship after bonding with him in conversation over those old and ancient wars.

After the many diplomatic meetings, Argurath was eventually contacted by the crystal giants once more for another mission which he accepted once more.
