So, in Aow3 you you could just straight up pay AI players to stop fighting.
In Aow4 there doesn't seem to be anything that lets you help AIs get along. You can denounce them, making their relations worse, you can call AIs to war, but there isn't an option to do the opposite?
It's most visible with the contrast between Oasis Sehiran story map and Ashen War presence trait. The former has its custom story events to let you do that and the latter doesn't. And yet despite the fact that the most probable way to end the Ashen War is to just pick a side and wreck their opponents, the end narration seems to assume you somehow made an alliance with both sides, and that doesn't seem to be plausible? You can try to get the favor of both sides, but they are at war, and without an option to ask them to chill for a minute, you're going to be called to war eventually and lose your progress with one of the sides.

I know that technically vassalization is an option to enforce peace upon the unruly AIs , but it also kinda isn't, because you have to basically be about to permanently send them into the void, and a lot of AI personalities straight up never agree to that.

Agreed, this would be great.

That would be nice indeed. Also I would like more complex trades. Like I give you that outpost, this axe and 5mana and you give me that city and open borders. Stuff like that was what made diplomacy so enjoyable in previous games.
