#Why did the use Unity again

It's considered an industry standard game engine.
Relatively cheap to use as a base, instead of building an entire engine from scratch.
And They're probably familiar with how to use it.
If you're asking why unity instead of something else like UE5 or something.
idk.
Probably ease of use, Price/Licensing, or legal reasons, but that's entirely speculation.
@finite yoke but unity create so many more problems and cost because is not checking with the drivers for compatibility
And it caps your go use
Yeah, I personally don't like Unity, and with the stunt they pulled a while back, trying to charge game devs per game download, yes, Download, not purchase.
Yeah, I'm not a fan myself, but, it's all dependent on the situtation for the Game Devs.
but wouldend you to buy a engin that works then using a enging that only make problems because is for phone games?
most likely familiarity and reuse of systems and assets from worlds adrift. but unreal might cause different issues as well, some that they are less familiar with solving. and unity is not just for phone games, sure unity can work well in lower end systems which is a benefit.
Yeah but everything with a 4090 or better has massive frame problems
