So I'm pulling from Windblown for this idea, bear with me.

In Windblown, there's an option in the inventory menu to hold L2 to drop an item. That item can then be sold or picked up by you or someone else.

I have about one medallion's sell value less gold than I need to make a purchase that will PERFECTLY complement my build. I want to be able to drop a medallion to sell it and buy the new one. Would that be possible before 1.0?

...so we validated the idea some time ago... and I think we did not do it because of timing issues
