#Remove (or give a toggle option) the speed lines around the screen during speed boost

Speed boost is great, but the lines around the border of the screen during the boost clutter the screen in my opinion. I think that the prince sprite effect is plenty to showcase that there is a speed boost. If an option to toggle it off is too much work, I think it should either be removed or very toned down

I think that the best option should be to choose The intensity between big lite and off

#

I would require more work ofc

Hey !
When we ran internal test, we found out that the "sprite effect" was not enough as some didn't notice the change.
That's why we aimed for an "over the top" feeling with those speed lines.

Adding an option to tune it down (with all other full screen vignette) is on our to do list, thanks for bringing that up !

Does the sash get longer when speed boost is active? I wasn't paying enough attention to the sprites, I was more focused on extending it and surviving 😅

#

That would take entirely new sprites and implementation of said new sprites, so I totally get it if that's a "no, and it won't be happening in the future either"

Nop, we didn't change the size of the sash/scarf/whatever this thing is called ^^
We have various ideas on how to use it to feedback stuff but it would be 1. Pretty technically complex and 2. Very close to what Journey did. So nothing planned right now

I do think that, down the road, customization options should be available for the screen effect on speed boost. I'm thinking the same options as Dead Cells accessibility color options - for customizing the speed lines and the vignette. But that will have to come after settings for intensity of the effect, so it's not an immediate thing.
