#Ultimate Trackers constantly offset from one another
12 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
r u using more than one space calibrator ?
im only using the built in one for steamvr
***Solution 1: ***
You block the camera of that offset tracker, until it lost tracking for a couple seconds, then stop blocking, let cameras face another angle of your play area, above your chest height.
If first attempt did not change anything, try a few more times with different angles.
If you confirm Solution 1 can't solve your problem, proceed:
***Solution 2: ***
First, in your Vive Space Calibrator, after step 2 (press tracker power button) switch to another window in SteamVR interface, then you have cleared calibration.
Second, observe uncalibrated tracker models in VR, while wearing them, turn yourself around while looking at them to see if that one tracker is still offset from the other two.
If location among them are correct, recalibrate.
If location among are still incorrect, do nothing except restart SteamVR
If both Solution 1 and 2 didn't help, proceed:
Solution 3:
Re-setup your trackers, that means rescan your tracking map, you can do that in Vive Hub, I believe you are familiar with the process, this should Ultimately solve this issue.
If it did not ever fix the problem at all, reinstall Vive Hub and SteamVR
To uninstall Vive Hub:
Open Settings:
Go to Apps:
• In the Settings window, click on Apps to open the list of installed applications.
Find Vive Hub:
• Scroll through the list of installed apps or use the search bar at the top to type Vive Hub.
Uninstall the App:
• Once you find Vive Hub, click on it and then click the Uninstall button that appears.
• Follow any prompts that appear to complete the uninstallation.
Restart your PC
To uninstall SteamVR:
In your steam library, right click SteamVR, then ->manage ->uninstall
If problem happen again later, try Solution 1, or remap
ive tried all those and they dont really work. ive also tried unpairing and repairing and it doesnt work. im trying to find a way to keep me from just unpairing them all an remapping because its just super annoying when i have to hold the tracker as high as i can on my tip toes.
im trying to find a way to not have to jump through a million hoops to fix it because it happens sometimes while in vr and its a major headache to do since im stuck tposing for 20+ minutes
You shouldn't be on your tip toes doing the mapping.
When you started the maping how high were you holding it? If you start too high then the low won't be in the right spot then you will need to get super far up and that might be causing issue with the map.
I did this a few times till I realized I needed to hold the tracker farther down when starting or it would just not calibate right.
it only happened once. the tracker thought it was 5ft lower than it was so to make the map i had to stand on my tip toes to take the chest height angles
If multiple trackers seem offsetted, turn off the Master tracker, let a new one take control, calibrate with it
If it worked, turn on the previous Master and get it to copy the calibration
If the old Master is still offsetted, Reset it
i'll try an let you know
Reset should help ultimately
That’s not the way to go really…
