My display port is nor detected. My laptop(msi katan 15) has no direct display port. So, I have a usb c to display port adapter from starlink. But somehow it is not working.

Try with vive console on steam, make sure the power button is turned on and that he headset has power and at least one base station sees the headset.
Check your msi software to check if you have any sort of "MSHYBRID" on since I saw someone mentioning that and in SteamVR try DP training mode is set to B

Also, does updating bios helps?

Do you have a monitor that can go with the adapter to confirm the type C port is working properly?
