i dont know if the bug is related to it being modded, but this occured to joey and is occuring to me at the same place very consistently too:

on mountain end, mysteriously the stomp becomes "broken", cant be discarded, cant shoot with it, cant swap out of it
this happens like 2/3 runs for me

really no idea what causes it

playing with challenge deck turned on, i think thats the only relevant mod

i guess the real bug is more so boof card getting eaten

im pretty sure it has to do with boofing an enemy with a bomb on them
