Oh, hun, I felt this poem in my bones. The way the words flow is such a blissful show. In my interpretation, I felt how the chains of the past will prevent you from moving forward. From opening a new door, a new beginning. I love the imagery, for it is such a chef's kiss! The way you play with the words stole my heart tonight.

Would I read it again? Absolutely yes. For it is a banger! Spectacular typography. As I read this poem, I felt the pain in my ribs! The way you build a kingdom and invite us into it, Oh dear, I'm left with literally no words. For this is a masterpiece, I'd love to read more of your work.

And yes, my dictionary is limited. For I'm in a limited speech, you quite left me speechless. Very well-penned, as always!

Zane, i must say, i have read your anthologies, and moultiple poems the past month i have known you, and you have an exceptional art to capture a reader into your poems. the way you want them to feel. and the diversity, the different styles, the dabbling in typography is truly commendable. i get to learn somethinn new from you each and every time i read your work. and for some reason, you always have something new to teach
Now, about the poem
i personally divide it into 3 parts: all three shining in beautiful imagery tbh
PART 1:
love the typography.
There is no softness here.
Only the raw,
cold expanse of a room
that refuses to swallow me whole.
very well written , and even the colours show great depth and meaning

PART 2: INSOMNIA
forced into a union of endless vigils.
Her fingers—
slender and cool as polished marble
trace the contours of my collarbone

LOVE THE EMOTIONS, RAW AND absolutely well drafted
3. SLEEP

perfectly wraps up the poem. and the ending is so... perfect!
and I am buried alive
in the marriage bed of
an eternal night.
absolutely adore the typography here too. damn detective, i am proud of you.
