I like how your poem reminded me of “Love and Happiness” by Al Green. You should listen to it if you haven’t heard it already. What I appreciate most is the innocence of the genuine affection being conveyed, while at the same time there’s a subtle sense of passing tension throughout your writing. Despite that, you still choose love, and I hope your partner chooses the same too.

One thing I will say, though, is that “Right up until the end” creates a more abrupt feeling and slightly contradicts the idea of lasting love, which feels like a stark contrast to the overall tone you’ve established. Nevertheless, it’s still a piece I can enjoy.
